The bodies of two Tampa teenagers were discovered Thursday morning on a roadside in Duval County.Angelia Mangum, 19, and Tjhisha Ball, 18, were found about 1 a.m., according to law enforcement. A witness told Jacksonville news station WJAX the teenagers were bound with zip ties and lying on top of one another."Two witnesses were driving by and they saw bodies and they called 911," Sgt. T.K. Waters told news station WJXT.Officers were dispatched to Sisson Drive, near the intersection of Main Street North and Clark Road.Investigators suspect foul play and are trying to determine the causes of death."They were in an area where they would have been noticed, so I think it was fairly recently since they’d been left there,” Waters also told WJXT.A medical examiner has taken the bodies to determine the cause of death."I just don’t understand what happened," Ball’s sister, Crystal Moore, said.According to Moore, both women had been living in the Jacksonville area off and on for approximately a year and a half."I feel like sometimes that I failed," Ball’s mother, Jerlean Moore, said. "What could I have done? What could I have taught her better? It hurts…it really hurts."It’s a pain that’s only worsened by the fact that no one has been caught.

Earl Sampson, is filing racial profiling charges against the Miami Gardens Police Department. For the last 4 years at least one time a week Earl has been stopped by Miami Gardens police, as a result he has been questioned at least 258 times, searched over 100 times, and arrested 62 times with a majority of the citations taking place at the store he is employed at!
This case goes to show that the police presence in the black community isn’t there to protect and serve, it’s there to harass and arrest. It’s a common trend for police to harass Black Men daily because we are viewed as a threat since childhood. You don’t really hear many cases of racial profiling happening to White men. Actually when they compare Racial profiling cases between Black Men and White Men, the numbers will show you that Black Men are HIGHLY likely to be racially targeted by the police more than anyone else.

***URGENT PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT***
Grindr, a popular app for gay men, now carries an urgent warning for users in Egypt. According to many sources, Egyptian authorities are posing as LGBT people on various social media sites to identify and arrest homosexual people. The app is urging users in the region to proceed with extreme caution, especially when identifying themselves or arranging meetings/hookups. While so far the focus seems to be on gay men, all LGBT people in the area should be cautious. Reports show that Egyptian police have carried out violent raids on private homes which lead to the arrests of several gay men. These men were then subjected to disturbing medical “exams.” Police also raided an LGBT party last year, violently arresting many and sentencing them to up to 12 years hard labour. While homosexuality is not illegal in Egypt, athorities are using sexual deviance, debauchery and insulting public morals as terms for the crackdown. Many claim this fresh attack on the LGBT community is lead by President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi who wishes for his country to be more Islamic.
For all of my LGBT friends here on tumblr, please be extremely careful as this situation develops. Remember to clear your search history, use private browsing if possible, and be extremely cautious with who you talk to online.
